From a poster on the wall in my study.
I used layers extensively for the first time.
I made the colours more vibrant than the
original, and simplified the "sketchiness" of
the original too, to give it a cleaner, sharper look.
Saludos,
Bob.

A reminder of home Bob?
Norman. The Flying Scotsman
Hi Norman,
In a way it's a reminder of home, rugby here isn't as popular as it is in the UK. The Spanish are soccer crazy, and also very keen on basketball and cycling.
Club rugby does exist here, but the closest decent club would be a three hour round trip in any direction. It is to a large extent based in the north of the country, particularly in the Basque region.
There is a club in Seville province near Cadiz called Club Rugby Atletico Portuense, and despite their unfortunate acronym, are a decent side.
For me the rugger posting was a reminder of a bygone age, harking back to the period predating the professional game, when rugby was played for the love of the game, rather than for financial gain.
Luckily, as we have satellite tv, I can follow a lot of the matches on the BBC. I watched the World Cup on ITV but was not impressed by their coverage. Had terrestrial Spanish TV shown any of the matches, I would have watched their presentation in preference.
The best I can hope for is for Argentina to base themselves in Spain and participate in the 6 Nations championship. This might create a higher profile for the sport here in Spain.
Saludos,
Bob.

That makes for a very nice poster, Bob. Good style to it.
You gave the poster a fresh new look, well done Bob!
thats nice Bob - I know someone who would like that, as a coffee table top veneer - not that anyone would be allowed to put coffee cups on it
we are rugby people here, as well as soccer, if not more so.

Thanks for your comments Gray, Michele and Steve.
A fine match in prospect today, Wales v South Africa.
I will be rooting for Wales. I think the 6 Nations would
benefit from a resurgent Welsh side, although I've been
disappointed with the treatment of their last two coaches.
Disgraceful, really.
Saludos,
Bob.
