    Default Extra Functionality in X3D

People may not realise, but you can get extra functionality out of static images in Xara3D. By turning on the time line and selecting a frame other than 1, and using the animation controls, you can essentially add all sorts of rotation, curvature and sizing effects to the image. For example, in the image below, I have added a curvature to the text.

That's a good tip, Xhris, it certainly gives a great deal of extra scope for creativity.

There are some examples of this method in the forum already, the image below is one of my favourites, and uses an inbuilt animation (Rotate2, four frames, paused on frame 2, with multiple pages) to position the shapes, and then static images exported while paging down through each page, building up the animation in Xara Xtreme.

By using the time line you can also add special effects!

Excuse my ignorance but how did you get the special effects into X3D, I'm still learning X3D and just about got to terms with sizing pixels and altering sizes and everything else, that's a really hot background you have made.

If you create something in X3D you can use the timeline to view each frame.
So what I did was create a separate gif animation for the light my fire.
Then I extracted all the frames using irfanview.
Now you are able to add a different background for each frame.
Save this as animated gif, extract all frames again, and finally add different
flames to each frame, then create final animation.

Mike I've always loved that animation you created.
    You should seriously copyright it.
    Before some business steals it.

Clever work Mike, better than TV.
Thanks for the explanation, I'll try it out.
