Thread: B&W Photography

    Default B&W Photography

Not posted for some time, but check in most days to admire TG users' endless talents.

Having recently got married, my now wife bought me a Canon DSLR as a "Thank You" for giving her her dream wedding (lovely ain't she?). Spent a large chunk of our honeymoon experimenting (with the camera!), particularly with the camera's ability to take monochrome photos.

Lots to learn still, but here are a couple or three I'd like to share.

    Hope you enjoy.

    pretty Nice shots!

Better watch out, or you'll get bitten by the camera bug. Took 800 shots the other day. A DSLR is just the start... next you'll want another lens, then some filters, then some lights, then a few lenses. Before you know it you'll be taking pictures of all kinds of stuff.

What ever you do, don't put it in manual mode.. then you'll get really hooked.

    Thanks for the compliment.

I got bitten a long time ago to be honest, but had to "make do" with my film SLR for far too long. Now that I have a digital I can finally cut loose!

As for manual mode, already in way too deep to be saved! ;o)

Hopefully, you can convert some of your "film" assests over to your "digital" equipment. At least filters...
