Hi Alex,
What form is the logo going to take. Vinyl, photographic image, etc?

Keep it simple... Modern vinyl cutters can cut about anything, but laying it out is something else.
There are no regulations on what can be put on vans so long as the front and back number plate can be seen. There are companies here offering to vinyl clad the whole white van to any photo or texture and many taxi's and buses are using this technique which makes some of our double decker buses look spectacular.
Design is thinking made visual.
OK, thanks guys)

Make sure that the van is free of rivets as these will cause bubbles in the vinyl and before long your work will look like a mess.
Alex it would be a good idea to talk to the firm who will be producing the vinyl artwork as when I had some artwork made up the guy had problems with the .ai file format I sent him.
