Very good Paul, Even when viewed 4 feet away from screen you feel you could reach out and touch them.I remember when I had marbles like that. How did you make them if I may be so bold? In fact 5 feet away I can pass my pen at the back of three balls that stand out

Paul that is great! The spheres look 3D and I was tempted to pull them off the screen!

Soquili I just realized you are only about 2.5 hours from me. What a small world.

Truly outstanding spheres. Well done. A fine accomplishment.
Those look really excellent Paul. I like the reflection and fade to black at the top.
Parahandy - yes, you may be bold To get the fractal pattern I used the freeware Apophysis, then imported the fractal images in Xara. some fiddling with saturation and levels to increase colors and brightness, and then I changed the transparency to Bleach. Then I made a circle with an inversed circular transparency (= I set the center to 100% transparent) and used a profile to adjust the amount of transparency. Transparency set to Bleach and then I used the circle to clip the fractal bitmap. Added a small highlight circle and that's it. To achieve the stereographic view I read and followed Gary's text at his stereogram site. And for the sharp sighted, you will notice that the fractals are slightly different, and that was achieved by the scripting in Apophysis (but that's another story).
