Hexagon 2.2 works in Vista....
if you don't have a video card that supports OpenGL 1.4 you may experience unpredictable results
I made some test modeling on 3 machines:
Machine 1: Intel Dual Core 1.8GHz processors 2GB DDR2 RAM Intel video with 82945G fast chipset. Vista Home Premium.
Does not display the Hexagon 2.2 interface accurately so trying to model and access the Tools is very difficult.
Machine 2: AMD Athlon 900MHz processor 1GB RAM ATI Radeon 9550 video card with 256MB video RAM. Vista Home Premium.
Hexagon 2.2 reported that OpenGL 1.4 is not supported by the video card. Interface displays accurately and modeling was easy after adapting to the interface/mouse/key requirements.
Machine 3: AMD Athlon 900MHz processor 256MB RAM nVidia GForce 4 video card with 128MB video RAM. Windows XP Professional.
Hexagon 2.2 reported that OpenGL 1.4 is not supported by the video card. Interface displays accurately and modeling was easy after adapting to the interface/mouse/key requirements.
As with many graphics applications the video card in the machine determines how well a program will work, regardless of the OS.
