Xara won't start

I've had Xtreme since the start, all of a sudden I'm getting the following
"access violation exception at offset 0x003CE375" and on the trigger box "Quit" and Xtreme turns off
Can any of you fine folks tell me what the cure is for this problem?
That last few times I've had to go back to X1 to draw.

I had the exact same error 3 days ago. What finally got it working was a reboot. Good luck, let me know how it goes.

Thanks I did rebooted twice now and it started but this is happening too many times now.
I hope there's a fix.

I'm glad it is working for you now, but I'd also like to know what it was. It has not happened since I rebooted. One thing that I noticed was that there was an error on startup with my wacom tablet driver, I haven't used my tablet lately so I didn't mind. I started Xara six or more hours later when I had the startup problem.
