Another idea might be to have her dip her hand in paint and put a nice handprint on it. As she grows it will be a keepsake of when she was smaller.

Two good ideas Ross, the palm print and the cushion, as to her name I have already made a childs version of an Adirondack chair for her and carved her name on it.

Norman, a beautiful job on the chair and a beautiful thought that you are making it for her. I would consider letting her paint it herself. No matter how it comes out, it will have been painted by her own little hands.
God bless you tomorrow. I continue to keep you in my prayers, dear friend.

Norman best wishes for you tomorrow and every day.

I like your chairs. Sturdy and should be strong even when Erin has grandchildren.

Hope all goes well at the hospital and that your insurance gives you the very best possible treatment (there's a rather off-color joke about that).

Seriously, my very best wishes are with you and I hope your stay is brief, productive and as pleasant as possible.

Yes Will, all went well today despite being last on the list I got through the procedure and got back home tonight. In the uk all this treatment is free? funded by contributions paid throughout ones working life. If you do not or cannot work for any reason it is still free.Of course sometimes the waiting list is very long. You can of course join an insurance group and jump the queque and get almost immediate treatment quite often by the same surgeon who would have done it on the National Health Service. you can Pm the joke to me I am very broadminded.

I don't know what your procedure was for but I'm glad to see that it was ok.
Your chair is very nice I think any child would like to have it. I think you have gotten some good ideas here too as to what to paint on the chair.

Norm, welcome back! Give thanks where thanks are due!
BTW, next time you need an op and the waiting list is long, pm me and perhaps I can help - I have tools, you know.
