I'm working hard at the gel technique. And hardly getting any results I care to share.

However, my Easter Egg doesn't look too bad to me. Please critique it and let me know how I can improve the gel look.

I can almost see the rabbit do a jello wiggle. The eggs are the best part though.

Al Kolka - Your jello egg looks yummy!

If you want to continue to tweak it here's a few observations. The shadow suggests we are looking slightly down (ie off horizontal) at the egg. That's fine but it suggests you should be able to see the zig-zags complete thier circles. Also where the zig-zags get to the edges of the egg their pattern should be getting tighter. Right now the pattern loosens up and that contradicts the foreshortening of the pattern that should occur. Hope these observations help more than nag at you.

    Regards, Ross

Are the gel eggs the eggs that come from the gel rabbit??

[what do you mean rabbits don't lay eggs?]

    Have a great easter everyone!

Juergen - I'm glad you liked my sketch.

I just downloaded your "Topics" program from your site. Thanks for putting the link in your profile or I never would have found this wonderful tool. It looks like what I need to keep all my silly ideas organized! I'll name my first Topics database "Easter Bunny".

    Thanks, Ross

    Ross,

thanks a lot. As you obviously saw the site I created you now know what I do with Xara . I am creating screenshots, buttons, logo and backgrounds with it.

For a programmer like me even this "easy" stuff can be challening.

ps. (off topic) next version of topics is due in a few weeks with pretty much improved speed and really nice report/print engine.
