Hi, Anas. My image is the normal view that X3D presents, you look at the screen along the z-axis, with the y-axis up/down, and the x-axis left/right. So when you look at my metal box, you are looking at the front of it.
My hollow box is actually two solid boxes occupying almost the same volume. The metal box is slightly larger, so encloses the smaller black box, but they occupy two different lines, with the black box on the higher line. I adjusted the line spacing between the two boxes so that the top surface of the black box just peeked above the top of the metal box, so that the metal box looked as if the top was black while all the other surfaces were metallic.
I have exaggerated the height of the black box in the attached image.
Mike
Thanks Mike, it makes sense now.
Previously I was looking at your 1st 2 images and didn't realise the 3rd had a redesigned box. The fake cut-out was the same as the one I used.
It's a shame that no-one else participated.
