Exclamation Best Book to learn from?

I just got Macromedia Flash 8 from a thrift store and it doesnt have any papers or book. I really want to make a dynamic interactive website and right now mine is just so old looking its pathetic. So can sombody tell me what the best book is out there?

I looked on ebay and at amazon. Is this a good book?
    http://www.amazon.com/Master-VISUALL...e=UTF8&s=books

I am an artist in sculpting not computers so im a total idiot at such things even thoug I did manage to build up my web site from bare bones and operate its every function in html script. Took me forever to learn what i needed to get the page to where it is now.

I also aquired dreamweaver 8 recently hence the blue link buttons on the top of the site.

What I want from this is to get my site to function without "FRAMES" ick... search engines hate frames. I want ambient sound in the background with that speaker icon to toggle it off and on. I want a pleasant look and function easy image access and loading, animated buttons, etc. pretty much the works.

Heres some sites ive seen that have flash work done on them.
    http://www.stanwinstonstudio.com/home.html "nice layout"
http://www.sw-digital.com/ "love the movie embed in this one"
    http://www.stanwinstoncreatures.com/indexFlash.html "nice layout and design"
http://kazeghostwarrior.com/flash/index.htm "very pleasant music and site"

And if you have others list them below so i have more ideas.

My site DESPERATELY needs help! Not to mention me lol

Don't know if thats a good book to study flash from, there to many in stores,
Maybe start with a simple beginnersbook to know what's everything about
I'm using SwishMax,also a Flash authoring program with some lesser capabilities, but you can build complete flash sites with it,including actionscripting.

    For more inspration on flashsites

go to catagory > uncheck all > check only photography+personal/portfolio
(This will make the adsites dissapear)

RaptorArts, since you've disabled your PM option I could not send you a private message.

Sorry for the infraction given, I mistakenly took you for a spam bot. Shoudl've been more careful.

Anyhow, I apologize for the incident.

    P.S. I like the sculptures

    Hi,
There are dozens of helpful Flash sites try http://www.flashkit.com/ for loads of bits and pieces or for serious training send an email to Craig at LearnFlash.com [craig@learnflash.com]. They send out free Flash exercises every week that are very useful.

Best book, I reckon, is Sams Flash 8 in 24 Hours ISBN 0-672-32754-6

    "Teach Yourself Macromedia Flash MX"

    ISBN: 0-672-32371-0

    £21.99 UK

    $46.99 Canada.
    $29.99 U.S.A.

    Five hundred and forty-eight pages.
"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.

Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.
