Egg your file is excellent, thanks. I don't use circuit diagrams often but your file will be a great help when I do make schematics.
I'll keep you advise of any additions.

Cheers Bill. If you'd like to take it further here's my original file with the bitmaps I was tracing. As I stated earlier not all the shapes are named and I've also converted lines to shapes and added shapes to simplify the images.
It might be a fun project to collectively create icon libararies. Anyone any suggestions?

Thank you, again Egg.
Creating icon libraries does sound like a fun project. I don't have a suggestion at this time.

So Egg:
What was going to be your method of connecting the symbols? Use lines of the same weight? Were you planning on snapping to endpoints of symbols?
What if you had to upscale or downscale; I notice some symbols had varying line weights so would turning on "Scale lline widths" still keep things looking proper?
I have done schematics with Xara, but it seemed like there was always a "gotcha" that caused a problem.
I'll download your file and play with it a bit.
Thanks, John
Hi, My kids in Graphics classes at Farnborough School Technology College in Clifton, Nottingham, UK, use Xara Xtreme to create excellent flowcharts for their Graphic Products projects in Years 10 and 11 (aged 14-16). They always impress the examiners with their work! If anyone's interested, I can help further.
