Question Using Photoshop Brushes and filters in Xara?

I apologize if this ? has been posted already. I'm new to this.
I was wondering if there was a way to use PS brushes & filters in Xara Xtreme/Pro. If there is, can someone please give me detailed instructions on how to do so? I'm somewhat uneducated in this...

Xara can use Photoshop compatible filters, not Photoshop filters directly. Except if you go back to Photoshop 5,6 or 7 in which case they will work, old Illustrator filters work then too. However, the brushes are not compatible to my knowledge, but there is virtually nothing Xara cannot do. Just have to learn how the program thinks to take full advantage of what it can do.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

If some PS brushes are based on bitmap images you could try to locate the folder where are these bitmaps. Then load each bitmap in Xara Xtreme and use it to create a Xara brush.

    kindly,

    http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/

a viewer. they have scripts for gimp to automate converting brushes for that graphics app, but no scripts for xara yet... still might be a useful app for you.
