Default Stop & Post January 2007

A whole new year. Again the object of this thread is to post any work that you're currently working on. It doesn't need to be completed (often it's better if it's not) just post so that others can see what you're using Xtreme for.

Like blue and white dishes, always.... okay usually. This is very nice. Did you use the blend tool?
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

No, 'tis a single shape with a vertical linear fill.

A re-drawing of my sons girlfriend slouching about in the kitchen, for a calendar he wants to make, about half way there I think.

    So far, so good.
Looks good to me ... hope your son appreciates all the effort.

    Genetica, XXP & Gel.

A Genetica seamless tile making an image transparent in XXP. I don't understand bump maps that well, and used Gel to shape the image.

I molded the image for perspective, but intersect sidn't respect the mold. I made a bitmap copy and intersected the image.

Generally, I do almost all my graphics works (except photos) in Xara.
Here is New Year funny collage as an example.
It fully done in Xara. I just drop shots from camera, arrange them, tune some in XPE,
add text and add two gray bars with transparency to make first photo less saturated
    and last photo grayed.
Each shot was ~2,6 Mb Jpeg (lazy to convert to smaller size) and resulting XAR file ~18 Mb.
It was little slow, but I have Duron850 and 256RAM, and I also suspect that Illustrator could only crash on such task

As for sculpture It was New Year gift for familiar girl who had crash on motobike (with stupid boyfriend).
She spend few month in hospital and I made this pig as a reminder.
My friend Vladymir Tkachenko help me with pig's head and acrylic clay as material.

    So, this is a story

    Dmitry,

That's a lot of fun and a great present too. It's also good to get away from the computer and do some other arty crafty work.
