How do you get a logo in the address bar?

I've noticed the favicons sometimes disappear.

Is their anyway to prevent this?

hi there,

favicon in IE will only appear if the site is a favorite

in other browsers they even appear if they're not a favorite

i don't think thats true

i've just put a favicon into my sites and heres the sites i used for the info

http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/ (same as jack said)

i found www.sean.co.uk before the other one and thats displayed the favicon without the page being a favorite, so not sure if above is 100% or not

Yes, I've noticed that too. When they've disapeared and I close IE and open it again they are suddenly back !

Hi Marcia,

the Internet Explorer loads the Favicon picture as a temporary file. After cleaning up your Cache (Internet Explorer temporary files folder), the picture is deleted. Another reason for this is, that the file in the Cache is expired. The Internet Explorer shows you then the standard icon.
