Don Garlits' Wynn's Chargers, 1969-1971:
With permission of Kane surely this drawing deserves a thread of its own Mr. Moderator? If give its own thread status many more people would get a chance to see this wonderful 5* drawing will all its wonderful detail, I keep noticing other bits of highly detailed parts of the drawing where mere mortals would have just saild, "that looks right" but not in this instance Kane goes a lot further. Great drawing!
Design is thinking made visual.
Albacore, I agree with you! This is awesome work. It makes me green with envy, but at the same time gives me an incentive to keep studying and learn more and more. I need more technique and more patience!

XXP
A water image converted to grayscale, and a blurred copy made.
Load both into XXP, and apply eliminate white to the blurred image.
Align the images, and apply linear transparency to the blurred image so the image appears to have perspective.
Mold the images into perspective and clip a rectangular section.
Make a bitmap copy.
Load a sunrise image, make a copy and invert.
Draw a rectangle and apply a linear fill
Select the sunrise inverted copy, go to the bitmap gallery and select the perspective ripples. Click transparent to apply the sunrise to the ripples.

Kane,
It's about time you posted something. Your work, again, is amazing as always with your attention to detail!

Rich,
Your red seascape is awesome. You make it sound so easy to do, but the genius is in the idea! I really love the image (but, then, I've yet to see anything you have done that I haven't liked).
I actually printed out a copy along with your "step by step" instruction guide.
Thanks
