Getting PlugIns to Work in X1???

I have several Photoshop plugins Eye Candy, Alien Skin, etc.

Mostly I get this message when I attempt to use the PlugIns

"The host application does not support enough of the Photoshop filter specification for this filter to run"

Any fix for this or does this backward version just not support much in the way of PlugIns?

Hello Joe,

Xara only supports the .8bf type of plug-ins.

Adobe has moved away from that format since about version 8, I believe.

Xara is primarily a Vector graphics program and not a raster (pixel based) program like Photoshop, the support it offers is an added bonus rather than a "backward version" as you stated it.

The change was in version 6, but that is for the native Adobe plugins. You can use a few 5.5 plugins in X1.

Probably need plugin.DLL in the program folder, and maybe the runtime DLLs in the system folder.

Works for me.

Hi! I had downloaded this plug-in, how do i get it working in Photo Shop CS on a PC platform?
I tried by saving it in the folder "plug-ins", but it doesn't appear under "filter".
