Realistic Paint

I'm trying to create a background image that looks like a square patch of paint that has been applied with a thick brush...so that the edges of the square have irregular "strokes."

I'm using Corel 8, but am brand new to the software. Are there any easy ways to accomplish this? (Preset brush sizes that will create the effect of a partially wet brush.)
