I have been watching the progress of Xara Xtreme Linux development each day and the build number has been the same for about a week. It usually changes each day. And each point version seems to come out once a month. Has Xara stopped development?

Yes developpement activity seem to be stopped. I have reported some bugs but nothing happen and I am not able to code, I am just a graphic user. Perhaps there is not enough developpers for this project. I hope this project is'nt drop-down because I like XARALX...
I'm quoting Charles Moir on the dev-list a couple of days ago:
I'm afraid a number of Xara staff are focussing on an upcoming
product launch which has taken then away from LX for a while. There have
been check-ins, e.g. when bug fixes go into the main Windows codebase
they are being ported to LX. But it's a pity that we don't see more
external activity from other outside devs on the product. Perhaps
people think Xara LX is good enough now.
You cannot say it is good as it is now, as there are a lot of features still missing... and I have been posting bug reports when I find any.

There is a 404 not found, if you try to download the latest version 0.7 Revision 1762 Built 27-Sep-06 12:00 from www.xaraxtreme.org. Perhaps, there are some problems within the building process.

I tried it again and the download works fine, now.
Thanks

I am sad that this wonderfull project doesn't continue as it was : does anybody know if it just slows down, or if it is stopped ?
I have made some translations, and also bought the windows version package as a 'thank you' for this great move for opensource...
Is there a mean to get an alert when it starts again ?
The Xara Group Ltd developers are currently working on their commercial program or programs for an upcoming release. There is no word as to which program or a time table for when the release will take place.
Once that happens, development of the Linux version should begin again.
