Tigers

Begun from a photo I found on the web. The painting was executed entirely in PhotoPaint X3.

I love my Wacom tablet.

Part of a nature series I began the other day. People complain about the new PhotoPaint X3. It has bugs, but nothing I haven't figured out so far. I guess that is part of the adventure.

But the work arounds only have amounted to adding some existing tools to palettes.

Not hard.

They are not house cats. Just my altar ego.

Prrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

The Lion lended himself to a different techniqe than the tigers, but I like it anyway.

And the zebra, I developed the zebra for a different project, you'll recognize where he turns up later this month.

All of these were created in PhotoPaint, but the Zebra was traced in DRAW, perfected in Xara.

The leopards were a black and white photograph. It's just a lot of fun.

TIGER, tiger, burning bright. In the forests of the night,. What immortal hand or eye. Could frame thy fearful symmetry? Sally can, and did, lovely stuff.

I like the lion best, I think.
The tigers come a close second.
Don't go much on the leopards

The last proves your drawings are better than photographs

I took photographs and made them look like drawings. The one I drew the most on was the tigers and the zebra.

You can get a lot of flavor out of different layers to pull out certain values in a photograph. But then again, I colorized the leopards.

Raymond, you are just partial to beards, that's it.

Very nice work Sally. I like the Tigers best.

BTW those are not leopards, they are cheetahs. Cheetahs have the distinctive 'tear marks' on their faces.
