Well, I for one am curious as to how Norman colored that photo. Norm? Did you use the shape editor tool (I think you used Xara...) to section off parts and then color them and use transparencies? How'd you do the tie? Lines? Great job!

Another sketch rendering.
I attach one that I played with in XaraXtreme. I used the contone method to get rid of the yellow stain. I also used NeatImage to try and remove noise. It did a pretty good job except for some really big noise around the the book area. NeatImage can be really useful to have -- the demo doesn't time out and is quite full featured. I used the stand-alone but I think there is also a photoshop plugin. I also used a plugin called 'Soft Focus' from photo-plugins.com to soften things up.
