I made this all in PhotoImpact, animated in UGA for Animation Stations August monthly.
Thought it would look nice using any text but quite time consuming so here you have it

What a great idea!
I had a go and this is the result.
Needs more frames really, I think.
But hell, it's almost 5'o'clock in the morning!

Info: Done completely in Xara Xtreme, time taken: just under an hour.

You were a bit quicker with yours than I was but we can put that down to me being a learner.
Yep! the Xara animator is good to use and a lot of my work is done there but PhotoImpact and UGA are my original and first love. lol

The reason I was a li'l quicker was 'cos I used fewer frames.
Need more frames for a smoother animation - so I'm having another bash.
I have 54 frames at the moment - no text yet.
So with the return, will be 108 frames.
So, fifty-four edits - gonna take a lot longer than an hour this time!

Pleased you like the site - 'tis ongoing, suggestions welcomed for I am not an expert.

108 frames sounds like more than you'll need to keep it smooth and file size could get a bit excessive using xara? Good luck
No suggestions for improvements on your site, I don't even have one but don't feel a need as all my work is posted on forums such as TalkGraphics where anyone can snag them if that is what turns them on.
My enjoyment is in making the animations/pictures.

This one is 302 frames and seems to work quite nicely > grin <

Yup - animations are cool. I'll admit to being addicted.
Anything I see which I've not come across before I'll have a go at myself.

I was looking at that animation earlier today, really like it
Did you make it with "Screen dumps" or draw objects onto a background image?
I have been looking at the Wink program for doing screen captures but seems too techie for me.
A lot of my anims exceed 1/200 frames or more and some do get rather heavy on kb's but my comment was only referrring to the magnifier anim and whether that many would actually be necessary

I took an intial screen dump and re-drew the bits of it I wanted moving such as the sliders and the icons.
The rest was just patience.
Attention to detail is necessary - who wants to edit 300 frames 'cos a mishtake went unnoticed in the first frame?
You ever had to do that? Grrrr!
The biggest problem with that animation was - I kept clicking on buttons which were part of the drawing.
Now that's a fun thing to do - use a screen dump as wallpaper and watch folks' frustration when the icons don't work > evil grin <

"Prt Sc" is good enough for me. It works.

Ideas I don't find a problem. Every time I see someone's graphic I want to animate it.
I just love finding others' ideas which I've never thought of and have a go at doing them.
I love a challenge - keeps me on my toes!

My toes start to curl if I even exceeded 50...
Very nice animation, as usual, Kiwi and Raymond. .
I thought about PI's glass lens filters after I saw your post, Kiwi. Some of PI's filters could produce gif animations, too. Haven't really played around with those.
Keep posting, though. This place has been a bit slow lately....

I been really busy doing 1 or 2 anims a day but most are theme related and not suitable for here.
Just been waiting for some skilled input from GM and now Raymond to get this board buzzzzzing again
