version 3 (that's it for me). Here you're talking 4-color print process. Not sure how it might translate to B&W for newspaper ads. Probably need halftoning.

Revised logo idea. Another picture rather than a logo as such but compact and self contained.

Here's a logo using the same graphic but with reduced colours used. Has the daycare's name, main character and egg shape frame holding them together. If you start adding more, like a baby chick, you start heading towards an illustration again.
