I need a little assistance. Having seen several examples that show speed in drawings that ya'all have submitted, I would appreciate the date or name you submitted the piece under.

My project requires being able to show the speed (80 mph plus) of a baseball. Any other suggestions, tutorials you noticed, or comments that you have will be greatly appreciated.

I am embarrassed by my blend attempts. With some professional images to compare to maybe I can determine the problem. Watching the ball be thrown doesn't help, I just don't seem to get it.

Thanks in Advance for any help.

There are about as many ways of depicting speed or anything as there are people that draw. Attached is a simple methode using a blend, feathering and transparency.
