I can reproduce both problems
1 Create an object (any object).
2 Display the rulers (CTRL+L).
3.Create a Guide.
4.Open the layer gallery/ have the gallery docked
5.Select the object and drag and drop it on a scroll bar causing an access violation
Both this and the problem reported by AntonyF occurs in X1 as well as in Xtreme
I thought it might have to do with auto-scrolling but I can't see where to turn this off to try it.
I was not able to reproduce this but that might be because I always have rulers enabled. I dragged first with the left mouse button and dropped and then dragged with the right mouse button and dropped. Both objects were dropped behind the scroll bar.
Do you have your left and right mouse button options set to something other than the default?

Hi Gary
Can you not reproduce it when following the steps i posted?
In my case all mouse-settings are set to default.
Left-mousebutton = normal click
right-mousebutton = Popup menu
I'm using the same version - i.e. the CD version of extreme with the 2.0f patch.Originally Posted by Vincis
Perhaps it is platform dependent? I'm using Win 98 2ETony

It seems to be when your mouse comes to rest on the ruler (mine are always visible) but guide lines have to also be visible. If there are no guide lines I get a duplicate dropped at the edge of the screen as my mouse comes to rest on the ruler no right clicking involved. With guides visible on the page I get the error message everytime.
I've noticed this before but I've never made the conection with the touching the rulers thing.
Windows XP SP2 , latest this and that etc. etc.
