parahandy's Pirate Ship reconstructed. don't know if she's sea worthy yet?

I think it's missing the 'essence' of pirate ship. The hull shape doesn't make me think of a pirate ship at all. You've some interesting ideas with shapes, but I don't see it gelling together - the styling of those large grey sails seems at odds with the rest. Hopefully with revisions, it'll all come together. Don't stop!

I like the new version twidder.to me it's a styalistic form,keep floating.
Norman.
thanks guys. but I do agree--may be some improvement but it does have clashing styles. it's nice to have 'many eyes' to help out. also, don't think I'd ever have attempted a ship with my art if I hadn't been on the forum here.
the priate ship is back in the dock for repairs, again....

new pirate ship hull---in progress

I'm now thinking Ancient Rome/Greece. Stylistically, your black ship on a red sea is my favourite. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Nance..... Thought you might like a Pirate Captain to crew your ship. Who knows other forum members may like to contribute the rest of a motley crew.Originally Posted by twidder
