I note what you say Panfer but not sure how to do it. I would also like to delete the first picture posted, how do I do that? I will then post the picture .xar and let you show me if you wish that is.Originally Posted by panfer

I would go ahead and post the new one, this way we can compare both the posting.
I think there is a time limit on when you can edit the original posting. May be one of the bigwigs can help u here.
Regards
Have a go at this Panfer or anyone else if they wish. I have made some slight changes to the original
Gave it a try, soften the white wash and moved the anchor.
I really like this drawing you did an awesome job.
Danny
Thank you dduran,I like your modification to the foam, as to the anchor ,the original painting by a friend of mine now deceased shows the anchor in the position I had it, how they used it is beyond me. he would be tickled pink I'm sure to know of the interest in it 30 years or so since he painted it. I have made even more modifications to it and drew a picture of an Orca rising beside the ship. I don't know if there is a limit of further posting of modified pictures? thank you again for your interest............Norman.

Hi Norman, only just seen the ship and it is a great drawing. Know what you mean about sea fills! but I put my attempt over yours to see if it was any better and as you can see, not much. Wish somebody would do a tut. on sea fills.Originally Posted by parahandy

Thanks Stygg, Your sea was a good effort. Here is one with a better background. I have an even better one but the picture i.e. the background may be subject to copyright so I don't want to tread on anyones toes. Norman
Norm,
FYI - You should try to keep posted image file size under 100k. Use a JPG or PNG with compression set to 85% or so -which views nicely & saves space. It's taking forever to load these images. More than a couple minutes & I'm on a T1. In fact, I posted this & the image has not finished loading.
Nice ship BTW. The drop shadows give the illusion that it's floading above the background. Is that what your after?

Ww I think if you check the properties of the files you will see they are about 82k the reason they are taking a long time to show is the forum is apparently very busy today. I meant to remove the shadows as obviosly one doesnt get shadows showing in the sky, it was while I was drawing it on a white background that they were inserted. Thank you for your comments.
Norman
It's cool Norm! I wasn't sure if that was the effect your were after.
The forums must be real busy today because the last ship you posted is still loading....
Here's something I did recently. Not a detailed as your ship, jus stylized.
Albacore, SWEET! Is that a Xara Render or combo project? The smoke is approaching ultra realism.
