    Default Palm Hairs

Everything here is C4D Hair, even the trunks which have got a subpoly displacement texture.

Have they sorted out setting up bones yet in C4D?

Good to see that hair can be used for other things.

    Cheers

    Thanks Mike.

I don't use bones in C4D at the moment and I remember I don't like a lot their implementation.
However Hair is a fantastic plugin, very versatile and extremely quick to render. You can put hair on hair, and that's fantastic to create hierarchically subdivided hair structures which can have the look and feel of vegetation. Here the primary hair is the trunk, the secondary the leaf stalks and the tertiary the leaflets. But it's possible to go much further.

    kindly,

    ivan
