Xara file thumbnails

Having installed Xara Xtreme I decided to have a tidy up on my HDD today and decided to remove Xara X1, having done so I now do not have Xara files showing as thumbnails when I choose this option in Windows Explorer view.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem please?

So far, the only fix I have found is to install X¹ again.

I thought Xtreme was to provide the thumbnail views, like X¹ but having tried all the download versions and the CD version on machines that never had X¹ installed the feature doesn't appear to be working for Xtreme installs.

I get thumbnail previews - both in the box on the side of the open dialog box (if preview is checked) and also on every single folder if the folder thumbnails option is checked.

from what I remember there was a stand alone version of the Explorer Plugin, that let Explorer to display thumbnails of .XAR

It was:
XarThumbnailViewer1.2.exe
