Cannot edit bitmaps (.jpg)

I scan or import a .jpg into CorelDraw 9 and it will not let me edit it as in (select/bitmap) and the edit is greyed out. It seems this used to work. Any ideas please?

Sounds like a problem in CorelDRAW itself. You can reset CorelDRAW to default, on boot, just hold down the F8 key.

Note: you will lose any custom settings such as any changes you have made to your Options. But these can be easily restored.

I've done that so many times, I could do it in my sleep. Later on I'll try to post the key ones that help me use DRAW more effectively.
