    You're welcome. I didn't realise who he was until I read this, my first computer was a BBC Model B and I still have an Archimedes in the cupboard somewhere! I feel some of the elegance of the software from these machines is still present in Xara's current products, which is probably what appeals to me. Kind of Hippocratic style of "First, do no harm"* or perhaps "First, the program isn't the point"

    Now that brought back some good memories! WordWise was really nice to use -- much like Xara is today, and !Artworks and !Impression were then (all stablemates!). I think I may still have my old WW chip somewhere in the loft...

    It was good to read these words and have flesh put on the bones of what we might otherwise have to imagine. As this forum shows, people are interested in people and not just products.
