Found this in my e-mail today. . .
"Thank you for ordering Xara Xtreme.
Unfortunately we have suffered some delays in creating a final CD master,
and we have not yet been able to despatch your order. We hope to finally
have the CDs in stock within the next 10 working days or thereabouts and
we will of course start to ship immediately. You should allow a further
one to three weeks for delivery, depending where you live.
In the meantime you can unlock the Xara Xtreme trial, if you have not
already done so. Simply select the Unlock Xara Xtreme link on the start
screen of the Xtreme trial, enter your email address and password and
click Unlock.
Once again we apologise for the delay in shipping your CD and would like
to assure you we are doing everything we can to send it as soon as
possible.

I haven't been in a panic for the CD, having too much fun playing with Xtreme and being bullied into playing with Linux. The former is great, the latter hates me.
I've seen some negative remarks about Xara, the company and the product. I've always found everything about them to be on a fairly straight line of excellence. The above e-mail serves to reinforce my impression. Perhaps as I get even further over-the-hill I'm becoming more tolerant and patient. I do know this as a universal truth, Quality and deadlines are like oil and water.
yes the more and more im learning the workflow the deeper i fall in love mmm xara
dont tell my gf
anyways im mostly just excited about getting the fonts lol

You can get email messages for different posts here... Just look for subscribed posts in the user CP (control panel) Then you can get an email whenever someone posts a message here about getting a new version.
John, will there always be 'this' Thread for new versions or could/will this thread dissapear with the release of Xtreme on CD?Originally Posted by John Rayner

Maybe because they are still working to finalize the beta. The less number of people with different versions the easier it is to squash bugs. I think the CD release is almost upon them and a mass emailing would only confuse things... People thinking the last beta is the final and not installing the final etc...
But then, I do not work for Xara Ltd and I am just guessing just like you. I have had nothing but good feelings from this company since I bought there software more than 10 years ago. I think I can give them the benefit of the doubt. Unlike other software... that has left a bad taste in my mouth from before my initial install...
Isn't there a detailed changelog somewhere? I mean, the announcement lists "changes since 2.0a", but this is version 2.0d and it would be great to know what has changed in each upgrade. IMHO Xara should provide this information specially now that Xtreme is going open source.

This edition has solved the compatibility problem of importing the .pdf into some other programs it didn't work in before.
I'm a happy camper!
