Some of the shading is incorrect, but I found the gun to be excellent practise using path edit

nice work Kiwi... the materials on the gun could be brushed and stressed a tad perhaps, but yea, nice shaping going on here
Great job Kiwi, wish that I was that advanced in the program to do that. I'm getting there but have that long road ahead of me..Just looking at my manual, urrrrfffff...

Thank's Brandx,
A good way of learning the tools is by doing tutorials and for drawing using PI Path edit, I like this site

Good luck
Arf! Arf! Here's one excited puppy barking....
Large size gif animation is something I rarely try. The file size gets enormous sometimes. More complex movements gets jerky too. But you pulled this one off pretty nicely, Kiwi. How many frames for this one?
The gun is REALLY great. Very smooth transitions from circles to curves for some parts. How did you do that? You can't connect paths in PI like you can with vector programs. . Unless you can draw circles freehand with the bezier tool....
Thank's Grafixman
Yes, I agree that file size can be a problem with gif animations but UGA is fairly good, giving plenty of options for optimising etc. Colours do seem to have more of an impact on the kb's than the actual frame size though.
Windmill above has only 3 frames (More would make it less jerky) but the pool animation below has 70.
I tend to draw all my pictures first holding my breath until finally at the end, checking the file size, cursing a bit... and then do what I can to reduce it whether it be by optimisation or reducing frame size.
Must admit though, there are many times that the KB's aren't as high as feared.
I never plan from the start to comprimise the quality of the drawing, just so file size may be acceptable.
