This looks a good set. Pricey but good.
They do a 30 day trial which is worth a look.

I asked on the Alien Skin forum about the different versions here: http://www.alienskin.com/forum/forum...349&PN=1&TPN=1
The Xara-only version is considerably less expensive, but as I noted includes fewer effects than the newer three set Eye Candy 5 version.
1. Can anyone from Xara explain the one issue they mention and if it something correctable in a future revision of Xara? I.e. does Xara somehow not fully support the Photoshop filter standard? (Is it indeed a Xara issue and not an issue with the plug-in itself?)
2. Does the Xara-only version not exhibit this issue?
3. Will there be a Xara-only version of Eye Candy 5?
Good questions.
1. As long you are talking about Alien skin plug-ins, they work fine with XPE. One issue with not Xara specific versions is the interface issue. In original Alien Skin effects you can select different plug-in from the set right in the plug-in interface window (main menu option "Filter"). This concept can not work with XPE due to it's vector nature, so it fails. And it is disabled in Xara specific AlienSkin effects.
2. As I say, the "Filter" menu is disable to not cause problems.
3. It is supposed to.**
John.
Hi John. Thanks for your response. I didn't quite understand your answer to #3. What I meant was will there be a Xara-only version of Eye Candy 5 as opposed to the Eye Candy 4000 version, which has fewer filters?
I should say: "I don't know fore sure".
Actually, it depends on Alien Skin, not Xara.
John.
Are the plugins in Xara Xtreme a part of the program or will they expire and then you have to buy them, if so, what will they cost? Which ones expire?
