Sweedie, sorry to be pedant but could you explain how you warped text inside the sphere?
...I'm looking for some interesting reading during Acrylic download...

1. I made a circle, just outline, no fill, on a top layer
2. Under the circle I pasted a circular cutout (bitmap) of the part of the magazine page that should reflect inside the glass ball.
3. I used the warp tool to warp the cutout to fit exactly inside the circle
on the top layer. Low transparency on the cutout warp.
4. I filled the circle on the top layer with a circular gradient. Low
transparency on this circle.
5. I added some hi lites and some shadow...
