macromedia gradient handles.....whatz up all?..

I downloaded macromedia freehand and I am studiously following the tortuial offered by macromedia. pretty cool so far........
After setting up two CMYK colors to make a gradient and applying them to the image, my gradient handles are not present, how do I activate the handles or apply the gradation to the image without handles?

Sorry but I don't know about Freehands handles. I just thought I'd note that I hope you'll also try the Xara X demo if you haven't already. Xara X has a reputation of being much more intuitive, and much faster, than all the other illustration packages like CorelDraw, Illustrator, Freehand, or Canvas. It is also much less expensive.

Maybe someone else can help with the Freehand handles.
