or are both 100% transparant?

You should check Options>Post Attachment at the bottom of the page on which you write your message/answer. Then you can upload one jpeg image as an attachment.

So either you post the two separately, or you open one in Photoshop, adapt the canvas size, open the second one and drag it on the first. Like that you can put one beside the other (drag) and after flattening the image, you can make one jpeg of both, and post that.

thanks for the reply...here are the images I want to merge. Obviously I'm joking about here but I would like to do this to a number of images. If possible could you also tell me how to clean up around her hair line where the other hairline will not reach. Once again much appreciated.

1/ Open the left image, make a selection of the black parts with the magic wand, and then copy it to the clipboard.
2/ Open the girls' portrait and duplicate the background layer to protect the original one.
3/ Create a new layer. This is transparant, and I'd paste the black selection on it.
4/ Then I'd activate the duplicate layer and try to remove the excess hair with selecting small bits of skin colour, copy and paste them, and with cloning.

I'm afraid the last action is quite complicated as you need a good knowledge of anatomy to "reconstruct" the hidden neck. But with a little patience and attention, everything is possible.

Go for it!

Thanks for reply ... here is how it is going so far. First mistake was not using a better photo from the beginning but not to worry. I'm taking your advice on time but is there a good way of blending what I have done so far . thank for
your time, P.
