I'll put those tuts to good use http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I made the attachment in C4D a couple of days ago. I was following a tut I found on Maxon's site.

http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Hey, that's really cool, Soquili! I like how the dust cloud colors are varied and have dimension...nice craft also which gives a feeling of travel/movement and scale against the nebulosity. Thumbs up http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/cool.gif ! The starfield tute was actually the first thing I tried in PS7, so that tells you it's clear and well written and easy to follow. The planet one is too and then you just go bananas with ideas! It's FUN!

Thanks Soquili for sharing your neat space image.

Those are great! Did you make those in the time between posts? Or, were they works in progress and finalized for posting? Either way they are excellent.

Must go to bed, another long day tomorrow. I'll play with the tuts and post some results tomorrow night.

    Thanks Maya!!

Thanks Soquili! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I created those after the first time around through the tutes recently. They don't take a long time to do, it just depends on how much you want to put into them. They would be great backgrounds for using with spacecraft scenes too...you can say take the comet and resize it small and add it into another background...once you've created a planet you can size them and change their coloring and texturing very easily...so they become very useful over and over. Or you can just create new ones. The same with the starfields...keep a copy of the generic one to reuse and modify for unique starfields again and again which saves extra steps. Always good to save a copy in psd format with layers to play with and adjust anytime. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    Have fun!

Here's the link to the texture used in the planetary tute (I had trouble finding it the first time and created one of my own to use, but this one will create a rougher surface and is best). http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
