    Wolfgang,

Thanks for your help. Sorry about the poll posting, I'm a new member and didn't know how
this forum worked. Anyway, can you explain to
me the actual steps you took to do this. Do you
have to bitmap trace it first? I am using a trial
version of Xara X to convert my Illustrator EPS,
so it will not allow me to bitmap trace. I was
able to bring it into Xara X and save it as a
.xar file but Xara 3D is telling me that my file
"does not contain any outlines". Again, is this
because you need to bitmap trace it first? I've
attached a file similar to last one I attached.
Could you please do exactly to this one what you
did to the last one? The last file worked great.
    Thanks again. - iceman

    Iceman,

so many posts, so many questions ...

First off: I imported your EPS into Xara X and - kazinga - saved it to .xar without any further ado.
The EPS is already a vector format, so no bitmap tracing or anything is necessary.

Second: I import the .xar into Xara 3D and - walla - save the animated GIF anyway I like it.

As much as I know, the trials are not crippled or otherwise different from the full version. So if you have any problems or you are missing functions it might be a problem with Virtual PC and not with the program itself.

Xara X is very robust and especially XARA 3D is one heck of a stable program. It did not crash on me a single time since I have it.

For Xara X there's one more or less small difference though: If you have the full version, you will also be able to download the latest patch for it. This might or might not help you.

Wolfgangs correct. Your eps file imports into XaraX with no problem. If you save the file as a .xar file it imports nicely into Xara3D.
I can only sumise that the problems your encountering are due to running windows under emulation.

Xara 3D can import .wmf's and .xar files. Xar files are obviously the best if you have used XaraX to create your vector image.
