Sorry, I gave up the funny stuff a looong time ago. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Never did the unfunny stuff.

BTW, the clipart collection I use most is the Art Explosion 600,000 from Nova. Keep thinking I should get something newer, but the truth is that I usually find the shapes I need in it. Besides, the files are WMF, so I can bring them into Xara without a hitch.

I have Corel Gallery Magic from about 6 years ago - all in cmx format which imports nicely in Xara and has 200,000 vector files - comes on 8 cds but I have them all installed on my hard drive any way. Don't know if you can still get this but there are some good bits on here and some crap - but I find it useful for simple things like map and flags and the like.

    "Corel Gallery Magic"
That's what comes with Graphics Pack 2. I was just to lazy to pull the disks out and look at the title. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thanx for telling us about iStockPhoto, they have some useful stuff, which is very moderately priced. While I'm happy to have to spend a minimum of $10, I'm not impressed that you have to complete all the downloads the same day (credits do not survive any longer).

John, I use iStock all the time and have never paid a penny for it. Upload some of your own photos - as people download them, you earn credits which you can download to use yourself in downloading other photos.

Where did you see the same-day limit? I've just poked around the site, but I haven't found any reference to it.

The Purchasing, Credits & Download FAQ says they're good for a year:
    http://www.istockphoto.com/faq.php?F...rm&Category=20

Once you download an image, you have 1 hour in which to download it again. After that, you have to "pay" for it as if it were a new purchase unless Tech Support agrees that you shouldn't be charged.

As I have nothing worth uploading, I find I have to pay but that is fine. On the timeout, when I paid for the credit yesterday, I'm sure the invoice said that the credits would only be valid until a specific time, maybe I just misread the year!

    hi Jon,

Clipart is the simplest of all the artwork. All it takes is a little tracing maybe a color or two. Nothing hard, just time consuming.
