I thought I was pretty savvy until now. Would like to know if someone can steer me to some tutorials on xara3d. Example(The xara 3d graphic at top of home page.) How do you get different parts to have different animation? A real newby question. Have searched the help files but guess I'm to old and senile to understand. Thanks in advance.

Nope, you're not a dummy. They're not allowed to register on the boards http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif We do get a few that slip in and do nothing, but complain about the software, but that's not why you've come around. So....welcome to the boards.

I'll give you a very quick answer because I don't have much time left in my day, but you'll get it right away. You need to select your text using the cursor "function". Either click on the button with the a|b symbol or hit Ctrl+E. Then hold your shift key down and arrow over the letters or symbols you wish to change. Now, change their animation as desired. Repeat the steps above until you've accomplished what you're after.

BTW, you cannot mix and match animation types (ie..pulsate with rotate). You can only choose one type, but if you look at some of the graphics that have been posted on the boards here, you'll note that that "limitation" hasn't slowed anyone down yet http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Hope this helps. Have a great day!

    Hi Ed,

There is a tutotial movie where a british lass (with a voice to die for) shows you all kinds of things you can do with X3D6. Including answering your question.

Too bad she showed nothing of what I was imagining tho... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Thanks John. Is that the demo movie listed above or is there a different link? I can't seem to connect to the one above. May have to reinstall WMP.
