Create a new shape to fit the nose with no outline and place behind the nose outline.

Another way. More simple, by the way.
Just clone this nose, close and fill without outline. And put behind your current nose shape. That's all! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
    PS
And all these operations you can do with the shortcuts by the way:
    Ctrl+K / F4 / Tab / (fill with your color) Ctrl+Shift+B /

Welcome to the Xara X Conference EGG. (Now we have two eggs, Egg Bramhill, Moderator, and yourself).

If you have not done so already, visit The Xara Xone. It's free and filled with tutorials, over 8 tips and tricks, fills and brushes, and a ton of other stuff.

The Workbook series which is also available on the Xara Xone site, has a lot of simple tutorials for different effects.

And of course, all of us are here if you have any questions.

Only 8, Gary? Don't underestimate all your effort over the years. There must be at least... 13... maybe even 14 tips, tricks, fills, brushes, shareware programs, and tutorials. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
