    I don't have patience to paint and deform all those ellipses or polygons in a golf ball so I won't try to do my own attempts. This one is just a simple ball without ellipse deformation. It's using bevel on circles and each array has different light elevation and the partially transparent to stick better to the background sphere.

    I don't know how Gary did his stuff as I don't seem able to access the page for the tutorial.
    I would be interested.
    My ball was difficult to do, and generating the correctly sized dimples from blends to be moulded was awkward, and despite lots of effort I could not even make the ball look white. Makes me think how much effort Big Frank's images must require.
