Pics perfect on editor but no pics on website online

Hi all. My name is Linda and java is new to me. I have made 3 other websites but never with java so coding etc is not all new to me.

I am desperate lol for help with my new website i'm trying to incorporate a photo album to. As in subject, the page is perfect with my editor but online the pics are not showing up.

I looked thru the FAQs here and found inserting a photo album, tried to do what it says but am getting no where http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I would appreciate greatly any help, information, suggestions ... anything.

i have used both htm and html with no difference.

I am having EXACTLY the same problem!! I have contacted XARA and have yet to get a resolution. Frustrating, isn't it?

Hello people

I just got one question.

Did you guys upload the page and the whole folder page to your server?.

I use dreamweaver and when I finish editing my page I puted it in my server but some stuff was not showing up in my page, then I use my free FTP Filezilla and I upload the page and the folder and whala I had it all good then.

I hope this help you guys.

I did it all in Dreamweaver, saved the files out(the HTML and the associated folder) and used CuteFTP to upload to the server. No luck. i then took and uploaded ALL files to the root of the host server and again, no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your replies. I have worked the last 3 nites so hadn't been able to respond.

So far no luck with mine but I am going to try something diff today to see if that will work. If it does I will let you know.

I took over this website for a family member and the way it was initially started there is only one folder on the server and everything goes in that. I'm wondering if maybe I need an additional folder for the other stuff. Not sure cuz the other two pages didn't need any special folder. soooooooooo will let you know.

What are you're guys website addy? Would like to see it.

OK, If you upload your html and the folder who Xara create for every page you create and puted it in your server then the next question would be.
What about the pictures?, Did you upload all the folder where you pictures are at the moment you crate your album?.

I click on the link you gave us and seems the folder which contain all the files for that album is not on the server or not in the right place,the same with the pictures.

Let me know my friends your answers.

Here is what I have:

Webstyle creates an HTML (in this case Elements_Album.HTML) then creates a folder for the coresponding java scripts with a folder name of Elements_Album. Within that folder (by default) is a folder called PHOTOS that contains all of the photos for the photo gallery.I have posted to the root of my server the HTML file and coresponding folder (in my case Elements_Album.HTML and the folder Elements_Album. After doing this, I get an HTML page with no pics. What am I doing wrong?

ATLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!! my pics show!!!!!!!! lol oh my gosh what a challenge!

Ok this is what I did different...above message I talked about how the previous owner of the website made the start of a homepage with only one folder and put everything in THAT folder. As I was beginning this site nothing worked the way I was used to doing it as I was used to having a folder for each type of file, ie graphics, pics, thumbnails, etc. Once I uploaded every file into the one folder already there........it worked.

Still the pics wouldn't work. So as you mentioned about the folder called "Photo", I uploaded the folder as a whole with all of its contents to the initial folder and voila!!!!!! I have pictures http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif lol

Now have I totally lost you? If so just let me know.

I don't use frontpage or dreamweaver. I use Cuteftp for my uploading. I prefer to do hardcoding as that is how I initially learned to do websites and frontpage/dreamweaver just confuse me.

In short, in the folder xara made called kt-album-pg1_files is another folder called "photo"

Upload the folder "Photo" as a whole to your server
