Hi Ivan,
Those are beautiful ears of corn!! It isn't exactly what I had in mind, although I have seen some that look similar. You've exceeded my expectations!!

If you want to vary the size of the brush along a path then apply a profile to the stroke and modify the pressure slider in the scaling tab of the edit brush dialogue to get exactly the ratio and profile you want.
The stroke profiles are all about scaling lines and brushes. This is one of the most powerful features of the stroke profiles!!!
(Freehand 10 pah!, we can have any shape!)

I will have to give this a try.
As a reviewer I have to keep my opinions to myself and remain neutral.
But I think you can read my mind :-)
I can say that after applying an "interactive" envelope to the corn, you bow the center outwards, I had time to go to the local coffee shop and get a tripple latte and still have to wait when I returned.
Great tip. I'm off to give it a try.

A gel corn! The original brush is not so saturated but the color depth is obtained in superposing several copies of the same brush with finally one or two with "luminosity" transparency.
The most interesting is that one can play with "hue" in brush filling properties!
Kind regards,
ivan

Sheesh, I never realized that you could apply a brush to a stroked path. Not only that, I was not aware that I could use the Pressure settings without a pressure sensitive pad.
Anyway, thanks to you I have been able to genetically improve upon this ear of corn :-)

In the freehand tool one has stroke profile control to give variable width strokes on normal lines, a very powerful feature, and they can be applied to lines which have brushes applied to them as well.
