I recompiled the list of shortcut keys shown in the Help File as MS Word 2000 files. They are sorted by Shortcut key and also by Operation. I did not include the Function keys or Text Tool modifier keys.

If I've missed anything or if there are some undocumented keys, please let me know.

I don't have WordPerfect 2000 (which I assume can import MS Word 2000 files) so if someone out there does, could they please download these files and repost them in WPerfect 9 format? That would be great.

    Regards, John

    Alex,

    thanks for posting your list!

    Some additions:

    CTRL + G Group
    CTRL + U Ungroup (!)

< Undo works on US keyboards only
    > Redo works on US keyboards only

The CTRL + SHIFT + R comes in handy when fitting text to path - no need to flip text if you want to have it inside a circle or any shaped closed line.

    Thanks again,

    jens

    John

I appreciate your efforts in compiling a list of shortcut keys - but in Word 2000!!! It rather irritates me that some people distribute files in native formats without considering those who either can't afford to upgrade or don't want to upgrade with every new release because what they have at present is more than adequate for them. Please remember this when posting Word files on this forum.

If Word 2000 is anything like Word 97 you can probably save in Word 97 format (Word 97 can save in at least Word 6 format and I think maybe even Word 2). Can you please repost as Word 97 or even better as a .PDF file - most peole have Acrobat Reader or can easily obtain it (hence the advantage of PDFs).

Sorry if this upsets you but I really feel that whilst you have done a lot of work in creating this file you have eliminated myself and quite possibly many others (some may not have Word at all, so much better to use PDFs) from making use of it without a lot of reformatting work - but first it has to be extracted from the native file and I don't know whether that is possible or not, depends on how cussed MS have been.

The following compilation comes from the help menu in XaraX - I've just copied them and arranged them in a few tables. This document is in pdf format.
Hopefully the help menu is complete.

    Tracey,

good idea with the pdf file! And yes, I am one of the few who doesn't run any MS app on my machines.

However, wouldn't it be better to post text files as ASCII files here? This is a global standard and doesn't need any plug-in or app to display, and anybody can import it into his/her prefered word processor, reformat it and print!

    No hassle, 100% pure fun!

    Just an idea... ;-}

Select tool >Alt+shift > selects objects under objects. Arrow changes to pointing down with + - sign by it. Watch status bar for what is selected.
