    Hi
I love the new interface for MX but the code it's writing isn't as clean as DW 4. Since often I work with programmers I have to be careful about the code my editor generates because it makes it very difficult for the programmers to go in and do their magic.

I noticed that MX creates a lot of useless span tags - especially when you are re-adjusting the pages.

I had to switch back to DW 4 on my most recent project because it was getting out of control. I hope they release an update which attends to some of the sloppiness this version generates.

    Just my two cents here...

I have to agree with you Nina about Dreamweaver's and MX but comparison neither compares to the beauty of handwritten javascript.

None of these html writers write concise javascript but they are faster to use, IMHO. I think it is readable just takes longer to correct. For example the positioning I mentioned only required 2 changes: add null and pointing to the trigger and wammo "fixed". However, the sites I write are very simple so very easy to correct- another big reason to use a html writer like mx.

Sounds like your sites are complicated.
You make a good point - good luck.
