Hi gang,

I'm about 12 weeks into a 3DS Max course, this is my current project, and I would appreciate any constructive criticism on what I've done so far. I looked at real kids' toys, real workbenches, and came up with my own design that's somewhere between the two.

    Many thanks for any responses!

I got a smile on my face 'cause I want one of those. Looks great Danny. Textures are cool... Talk about "Mop 'n Glow" - I can even imagine seeing the kid slipping on his ass in excitement as he rushes over to it.

    Good Work!

    Nice work Danny

I would reduce the reflection on the wood just a little, take some noise out of your plastic material,or the bump.If the noise is n your bump reduce the black to 50% grey in your bump channel and let the white create your bump for you.

The modelling is really good, the only thing I might change is I might make the bevel on your edges wider for a softer rounded appearance in the way most kids toys are made soft edged for safety nowadays

    Nice work

Looks like you are getting to know 3DS fairly well. I agree with Stu about make the edges a little more rounded.

My 3yr nephew would love this.

Thank you for the compliments and suggestions. I took them into consideration while refining this pic and ended up with a perfect score after submitting it in class. I really appreciate the advice!
