Default Slideshow Widget Not Displaying After Web Update

    Hello,

I am working in Xara Designer Pro X 19.0.0.63929 on Win 10 Pro PC.

I have a slideshow widget on my home page.

Yesterday I updated text on my website, and this widget is no longer displaying on one of the domains that it is pointed to.

You’ll see this widget showing up at: https://www.creativebusinesresources.com/index.htm

But I don’t see the widget showing up at: https://cbrisystems.com/index.htm

I did not edit the widget itself. Do you have any idea what the cause is and how it can be corrected?

I sent above question in support ticket to hosting company, as it seemed to me to be a hosting server issue. Following is their response:

    Hi Susan,

Thank you for contacting us! I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your site, but we're happy to help.

When viewing the site, in most browsers, you can open the developer console with the F12 key to see if any errors are occurring that would cause the page to load incorrectly. On "cbrisystems.com" I see the following error logged:

bx_cyclemeb_conf.js:163 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'msie')
    at xaraSwidgets_cyclemebConstructor (bx_cyclemeb_conf.js:163:16)

It looks like this error can be caused by a jQuery update: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...o-jquery-1-9-1

You could try reverting the jQuery file that your site loads to an older version, or if you are unsure specifically what file/script is loading that version, you could restore your site entirely from our Server Rewind backups. We have a guide here:

    https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/cpanel/.../server-rewind

If you would rather correct the code on the site so that this error does not occur then we recommend consulting with a web developer experienced with Javascript for further assistance as we do not provide coding support.

I hope this information helps! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Now, my question is this:

    Hello,

Thank you for your response with details of error.

I did open the developer console with the F 12 key, and do you see the error you’re talking about.

When I publish the website, the same exact website files go to both domain names. My question now is this:

When I published the update, do you know why there is an error on one domain and not the other?

If the same exact files are uploaded/published to file manager, I don’t understand how there is error on one domain only. Just curious if you could shed some light on why that would be.

    Many thanks for your help.

    Kind regards,

    Susan
