I had one of those rare moments of insight and clarity this morning. Now, I'll readily admit that I can be as dim as a Toc H lamp sometimes but I thought to myself, "Why haven't you tried sending a message on your laptop to see if the problems you've been having are related to your hard drive, or possibly something else?" So I did just that. I sent a message replying to Gary Priester's thread about how we feel about the Xara 365 subscription model from my laptop. I was almost relieved to discover that the same problems exist when I send a message to TG on the laptop as I get from my PC with the brand new hard drive. I still have the same problem, but it's totally unrelated to my hard drive on my PC. I'm still no better off, but at least I don't feel as though I ought to format the drive and start over. Bob.
